1. What is the difference between wild and farm raised shrimp?
Wild shrimp is caught from oceans or inland waters. Farm raised shrimp is grown in inland farms located near ocean shores.
2. What are the different species of Shrimp?
Black Tiger, Vannamei White, Indicus White, Fresh Water, Brown, Pink, and Flower Shrimp are the popular varieties of warm water shrimp.
3. Is shrimp microwavable?

Yes.

4. How long can I keep frozen shrimp in the freezer?

Frozen Shrimp normally has a shelf life of over 12 months.

5. Is it advisable to refreeze defrosted shrimp?
We do not recommend to refreeze defrosted shrimp. Our convenient Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) packs allow you to take out portions required for cooking and leave the remaining product in the freezer.
6. What is the best way to defrost shrimp?

The best way to defrost is to place shimp in the refrigerator until it is fully thawed. The most convenient way is to place shrimp in a colander under cold running water until it is fully thawed.

7. Is shrimp a healthy diet? Is shrimp high in cholestrol?
Yes, shrimp is a healthy diet. The good news is that shrimp helps elevate HDL, which is good cholestrol. Shrimp is totally fat free. Even the leanest meat has saturated fat.
8. What are the nutritional benefits of shrimp?

Shrimp is high in protein, low in calories and totally fat free.
